Reading Informational Text: Citing Evidence As Support Lesson Plan

During elementary school, students learned to make connections and make inferences. In middle school, students should be able to identify strong textual evidence for their analysis and inferences. This lesson supports their critical thinking and critical reading skills, as well as their formulation of thesis statements and persuasive arguments.
