Improved Instruction
George Schroepfer is an educational consultant who works with teachers to provide coaching and support in science instruction, encouraging the development of best practices, and accelerating student performance.
George believes that successful students and educators thrive with a growth mindset focused on encouraging a habit of lifelong learning. He considers the cultivation of this characteristic within staff and students to be the ultimate, overriding purpose of education.
George has degrees in Biology and as a Physician Assistant. He came into teaching from the medical world via the alternate route mechanism in 1991, and is recently retired after teaching science in the same HS district for 31 years. He hopes his experience in using a contemporaneous parallel career (as a PA) to enhance his teaching, has produced some unique transferable insights for the science classroom.
When he is not consulting, George can occasionally be found in the ER (as a staff member, not a patient). But more likely he will be traveling to, and spending time with, his very large family that includes about 25 nieces and nephews and six (soon to be seven) grandkids.
