Assuring Success on the NJSLA - Adaptive - ELA

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the NJSLA layout and expectations, analyze samples of narrative writing, literary analysis, and research simulation tasks, and engage in guided practice to create their own NJSLA-style assessment questions, leaving with effective strategies and activities for student preparation.

This workshop provides educators with a thorough understanding of the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment Adaptive (NJSLA-A) in English Language Arts. Participants explore the structure and expectations of the assessment, including standards alignment, test formatting, performance levels, and task types. The session includes hands-on exploration of the testing blueprints, exposure to question formats, and strategies for preparing students for success.
