Integrating NJSLA into Daily Instruction for ELA and Math

Participants will gain practical strategies for integrating standards-based instruction with NJSLA preparation in both ELA and math, utilizing resources, rubrics, companion texts, and aligned activities to enhance student learning and performance.

Effective test preparation involves embedding key skills, mathematical practices, and habits of mind into everyday instruction. This workshop provides teachers with the tools and strategies needed to deliver standards-based lessons in both ELA and math while helping students excel on the NJSLA. Participants will learn how to incorporate NJSLA resources, apply rubrics for assessment, design test-aligned questions, integrate companion texts, and create Do Now activities aligned with ELA and math standards. By the end of the session, educators will walk away with practical strategies and ready-to-use activities that can be implemented in their classrooms immediately.
