This workshop will review various characteristics of exceptional learners, focusing on those students who face attention, behavioral, learning, physical and social challenges. Participants will view various profiles of students in order to better understand how to optimize their learning environment and choose appropriate interventions. Using a strengths-based approach, participants will learn best practices to support students in their role as teachers, related service providers, counselors, and support staff. Finally, participants will design a plan for next steps for the students that they work with that can be used immediately in their practice.
