The Recognition of Bias and the Self-Reflection Process

Participants will gain heightened self-awareness of their beliefs and biases, identify potential blind spots, and acquire resources and strategies for positive action steps through self-reflection and interaction with colleagues.

This interactive workshop guides participants through the journey of identifying personal beliefs and implicit biases while fostering self-awareness through structured reflection. Participants explore visual and written prompts that challenge assumptions, examine the roots of bias, and unpack how these mental models affect behavior and decision-making. Activities are designed to help participants recognize how bias forms and how it can be consciously addressed. By the end of the session, educators are encouraged to expand their perspectives and take specific actions toward more equitable and inclusive interactions.
