This workshop offers a comprehensive look at the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for English Language Arts, and will provide unpacking information for each grade level-specific standard. Participants will examine the construct of the standards as designed for different grade levels, considering key areas. This interactive workshop explores the progression of key concepts and skills as students move through different grade levels. Finally, participants will consider the impact the standards have on instruction and assessment. Participants will be provided with template, steps and examples to begin unpacking the standards.
