Utilizing High Stakes Assessment Rubrics: Analyzing Student Results and Informing Instruction

Participants will learn to utilize high stakes assessment rubrics in the classroom by scoring and analyzing student essays using generic rubrics with item-specific criteria, and creating corrective instruction plans based on the analysis.

This workshop is designed to assist instructors with utilizing high stakes assessment rubrics in the classroom. Instructors will learn how test scorers use their generic rubrics with item-specific criteria using live student samples. Instructors will also learn how to score and analyze their students’ essays in order to create corrective instruction plans.
