Selecting Evidence: Discourse Strategy

Do you have students who struggle with selecting evidence for constructed response questions?  What about explaining the evidence they do select?  Creating a complete constructed response goes way beyond the answer.  This strategy has students engage in discussions to select appropriate evidence.  Those conversations can then support them in justifying the selections they made.  The simple act of talking about a question will help all students write a more thorough and comprehensive response.
