Using Close Reading to Unpack Questions

How can students make sense of constructed response questions on MCAP and other tests?  These questions can be complex, and it is important for students to read the question carefully to ensure they completely understand the scope of the question. Using the “close reading” strategy is an excellent way for students to engage with the question and begin framing their response working to include all of the requirements identified in the question.
